Introduction to Northern Portugal

If you have not yet experienced Portugal, we will happily plan a “Visit Portugal” itinerary and book lodging, travel and guide arrangements for you to get a taste of some of the most sought after spots in Portugal…and the overlooked gems!

Once you decide to come to Portugal

We provide guidance for initial Consulate requirements in the US, before you arrive in Portugal. The Portuguese Consulate in the US will probably not take your calls…they will take Nuno’s calls and to get this part right avoids major headaches later.

On arrival

On your arrival, Nuno will personally take you to the bank of your choice and help you establish an account that meets immigration requirements as well as full service banking. You will be introduced by an established citizen.

Nuno will tackle the bureaucracy with you…at your side, every step

NK will help you obtain your NIF number (essential to all other tasks).
Nuno will personally go with you to the various agencies and government entities required to establish residency, deal with a drivers license, obtain insurance and healthcare, etc. He knows the issues, requirements and resources.
NunoKnows will provide you with the required Portuguese address to use for the purposes of establishing residency.

Health care guidance

Nuno will assist you in getting the initial private health insurance required to immigrate.
He will explain the National Health Service to you and assist you in getting your Health Service Card and documentation.

Getting to know the turf

Nuno will personally introduce you to well regarded local legal and accounting services as well as highly regarded community citizens and expats who have come before you.
